CDC has announced a new COVID-19 Dx Code: U07.1 Acute Respiratory Disease. This will fall into the Pulmonary PDPM Category (see attached CDC document)

CARES Act: The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act
ADD ON: The bill provides additional 20% add-on payment under Medicare Inpatient Prospective Payment Systems for care providers to Patients with COVID-19 (importance of accurate coding)
Medicare Sequester: Of additional note, the CARES ACT eliminates the 2% financial reduction of the Medicare Sequester from May 1, 2020 through Dec 31, 2020
